True color digital mosaics are
one of the most useful tools available
for general overview, project layout,
and public representation. City
municipalities are very interested in
aerial mapping for future planning
and analysis as well as potential
impact studies. MAS has delivered
several products for these types of
applications and flown entire city
limits for the purpose of updating |

existing aerial images. Many times the images serve as a public representation of the city to its residents. City council can use the images for display to represent areas affected by waterline additions, road additions, and even emergency service changes. |
Project planning for roadway, power line, and other utilities has been greatly assisted with the addition of relevant and timely aerial imagery. One cannot only capture the project in progress but can also develop planning, and show before and after conditions of the project area. |

Color infrared (CIR) imagery is used a great deal in forest related applications. Forest health and species identification are just a few applications. During leaf-off conditions CIR imagery can be very helpful for land managers to determine ground features such as forest roads and streams. Using spectral signature shown in CIR specific species of plant life can be detected. |
